While this week begins with my 5-year-old's first day of kindergarten, and trust me, I'm really tore up about this. I mean, this is my baby entering the rough real world, that is so not filled with rainbows and really cool lego cars. But, I send him off anyway. Lucky for me he's picked out striped knee socks, blue high-tops and a bundle of stripe shirts, so you'll know the rainbow boy zipping around the playground is most definitely my child.
Dreams do come true.
And now for a self plug. Saturday the 23rd of August is going to be the opening for a group show I'm in called "Hang Ten", at Said Space Gallery in downtown Encinitas, CA. My friend, Dustin Ortiz, grouped together ten local (and young) Encinitas artists and all had us design a one or two color screen print. Our friends at Forward Screen Printing printed an edition of 50 prints per person, and they will be available through the gallery for $25 a piece. Which means, you have like, no reason not to buy one. That's cheap for an 18" x 20" screen printed poster.
So that last poster there is my poster! Yay! In all its black, white and mint green glory!
PLease come an join myself and these talented folks at Said Space in Encinitas, CA. We will be groovin, drinking beers, buying each other's posters and most likely getting kinda weird.
Hope to see ya then!
