Back in San Diego!

So I moved back to San Diego, and started a job as a staff illustrator at an eLearning company. SO not only have I been back on that 9-5 grind, but my evenings are back to full time kid-ing. Freelance has been cranking though, and lots of fun projects are emerging. I have also been working on an alphabet book, in my space few minutes here and there.

I've been working a lot on elevating style a bit. Since I have some new tools at my disposal, I've been trying to work as much as possible on elevating texture and things like that.

These are some test fish for the larger pieces coming out this month.

I've also gotten back into playing with lettering. It's been a long time since I've incorporated hand-done type into work, but on some client requests I've been working on some silly lettering. It's seeping into some other client work as well, and getting a little funky. I can't wait to show some newer projects off in a few months.

I'm also going to work on making some downloadable wallpapers and some more patterns in the next few months as well!

Here's to health and experimentation!
